Carl F. Bucherer

Bucherer watch & jewelry retailers were founded in 1888 by Carl F. Bucherer and his wife, Louise. When they reached working age, Bucherer’s 2 sons became a watchmaker and a goldsmith, respectively. Their entry into and continuation of the Carl F. Bucherer watch brand led to the natural development of unique, quality watches like the offered Pathos Diva, which incorporates sophisticated timepiece craftspersonship, coupled with the superior jewelry design of the Pathos series. Stores originated in Europe but have grown significantly, including a strong North American presence. The U.S. growth has been fueled by Tourneau’s acquisition in 2018, and Rolex’ acquisition in 2024. Interestingly, watches branded as “Carl F. Bucherer” were Bucherer’s in-house line, even though they carried several other brands. The “Carl F. Bucherer” line was discontinued when Rolex acquired Bucherer retail stores.
