LTFL Background and Ownership History

LTFL recently acquired this exceptional condition Tudor Prince Quartz Oysterdate from its sole owner, which was purchased in the early 1980’s. This well-cared-for timepiece just had a new battery installed, in addition to a complete movement service (contact points cleaned, new gaskets, regulated, etc.)

The stretch in the SS oyster bracelet is minimal, which is quite amazing for a watch that is 40+ years old. Relatedly, the watch in its current state might comfortably fit the new owner’s wrist but if additional links are required, LTFL will furnish the buyer w/ enough links to assure perfect wrist sizing.

The Tudor is sold with the LTFL full 1-year warranty.

Heritage and Brand Origins

Tudor was established by the same gent who founded Rolex, Hans Wilsdorf; hence, the brand is often associated with Rolex. Wilsdorf trademarked the “Tudor” name in 1926 and in 1936, the brand “came to life” by commencing the brand’s manufacture. Wilsdorf’s goal was to construct a watch with similar quality and functionality as a Rolex, but more attainably priced. Today, Tudor enjoys its own recognition as a brand, separate and apart from Rolex.
