About the Artist
Lino Tagliapietra, the world-renowned glass maestro, recently retired after having worked with glass for nearly 80 of his 90 years. Lino spends his time in Murano, Italy with his long-time bride, Lina, and family. He was born in 1934 in Murano and became an apprentice glassblower at age 11. Lino was bestowed the title of “Maestro” at the nearly unheard-of young age of only 21.
